Development Plan
Cornwall Wildlife Trust has a rolling five-year Development Plan, currently from 2006 to 2010, created with input from members and Trustees, volunteers, staff and partner organisations. This plan sets out a framework and identifies key targets. Yet at the same time it provides flexibility for unforeseen opportunities to be maximised for the benefit of the Trust and nature conservation in the county.
Our vision... a Cornwall richer in wildlife, cared for and appreciated by one and all.
Our mission... to rebuild Cornwall’s biodiversity and engage everyone with the natural environment.
Our aim... to be Cornwall’s leading voluntary wildlife champion.
We will do this by...
• Standing up for wildlife and the environment through advocacy, policy and campaigning.
• Creating wildlife havens by working to rebuild biodiversity both on land and in the marine environment.
• Inspiring a love of nature through outreach and educational initiatives.
• Encouraging sustainability by promoting community-led action on climate change and sustainable living.
