Welcome to Cornwall Wildlife Trust's events calendar. Everyone is welcome to attend our events which are held all over Cornwall. Events range from walks and talks to working parties and evening get togethers.

Take a boat trip to Looe Island Nature Reserve, just off the coast of Looe, south east Cornwall, then join the warden for a fascinating guided walk around the island. During the three and a half hour visit we’ll help you spot island wildlife such as grey seals and great black-backed gulls. You’ll also learn about the Trust’s work and the challenges of island life. The walks are £20 per person, places are limited and must be booked online in advance.

This stunning garden boasts wild flower areas, beautiful specimen trees and terraced borders. Pedn Billy is ablaze with azaleas, magnolias, rhododendrons, camellias and flowering bulbs. Half of the 12 acres is ancient woodlands with paths that wind down to Port Navas Creek and Helford River to it's own private beach. Meet Cornwall Bat Group and get close to these amazing creatures! Refreshments and toilet facilities are available and well behaved dogs on leads are welcome.

Neglected for over 50 years the semi natural ancient woodland at 10 Acre Wood, Polmorla, near Wadebridge is slowly being restored to its former glory! Follow the river along a bluebell walk under oak and holly trees, have great fun in the children's adventure playground or just wander amongst the mixed fruit tress in the orchard. People living in Cornwall can get a free parking pass for Land’s End by sending a copy of a utility bill by post in advance (with SAE) otherwise there will be a charge for parking.

Seashore shenanigans at Kennack Sands

Polzeath marine discovery day
Cornwall Wildlife Trust, National Trust and Cornwall Council are joining forces to bring you a marine day you will never forget! Come and celebrate our seas in Polzeath and go rock pooling with marine experts, create beach sculptures, take part in an arts/crafts animation or learn to save dolphins with marine life rescue experts!
Wear suitable clothes and footwear for the beach and rockpooling. All children under 18 years must be accompanied by an adult. The event is free.

Open Gardens Ethnevas Cottage near Constantine
Ethnevas is an isolated granite cottage set in an intimate two acre flower and vegetagle garden. There is a bridge over the stream to a large pond and also a primrose path through a semi wild bog area. The garden is in a hillside location with grass paths among native and exotic trees, including 40 different conifers. There are many camellias and rhododendrons. Mixed shrub and herbaceous beds sit amongst a wild flower glade and spring bulbs. This really is a plantaholics' garden! Adults £4 Child

Booking is essential. Five day course where you will learn how to create exciting wildlife films through learning the skills of camera work, editing and story creation. Easy access rockpool ramble at Polzeath
BOOKING ESSENTIAL. For those finding the usual rambles a challenge, this rockpool discovery event will be easily accessible for all ages and abilities. Meeting at the Marine Centre you can be taken by 4x4 or beach wheelchair to a base near the rockpools where a table top laboratory will be set up enabling everyone to see what can be found on our rocky shore. Free for Polzeath Marine Conservation Group members, £2 for all others.

Wildlife watching by kayak from Golant
Booking is essential. Join us on a kayaking trip on the Fowey Estuary on this Sundowner paddle, with Encounter Cornwall. We will explore the creeks and banks of the estuary and be able to watch the wildlife with no engine noise. £15 adults, £10 children under 16. You will need to be generally fit and active to manoeuvre in and out of the kayaks and for a gentle paddle up and down the estuary. Bring some money if you would like refreshment in the pub afterwards.

Take a boat trip to Looe Island Nature Reserve, just off the coast of Looe, south east Cornwall, then join the warden for a fascinating guided walk around the island. During the three and a half hour visit we’ll help you spot island wildlife such as grey seals and great black-backed gulls. You’ll also learn about the Trust’s work and the challenges of island life. The walks are £20 per person, places are limited and must be booked online in advance.

Open Gardens Arundell near Crantock
A garden where no garden should be! Arundell is a one acre garden set around an original farm cottage on windswept north coast National Trust headland between two fantastic beaches. At the front is a cottage garden whilst on the side is a small but wonderful Mediterranean style courtyard. To the rear is a rockery and shrubbery leading up to a 'Stumper' and Fernery and on to a stream and pond, herbaceous borders, Beth Chatto Dry Garden, a small pinetum and spectacular exotic garden.

Open Gardens Trenarth near Constantine
This beautiful 4 acre garden is set around a 17th century farmhouse in a lovely pastoral setting. There is year-round interest with the emphasis on unusual plants, structure and form. An ancient green lane circular walk through woods offers wildlife interest including a pond with a tree fern grove! Trenarth has a resident colony of bats so as well as being able to visit the gardens, visitors can learn about this amazing species from Cornwall Wildlife Trust’s own specialist Bat Group.
